Our turf program consists of 7 steps over 12 months. These steps cover everything from fertilizer to weed control throughout the season. These applications are dependent on seasonal temperatures and growth. Weeds are generally classified in two categories, annual and broadleaf. It is important to know the difference between the two. Annuals are weeds such as crabgrass and foxtail. These are typically treated as a preemergent at the beginning of the season. Preemergents prevent germination therefore these weeds don't have a chance to grow. Broadleaf are weeds such as dandelions and white clover. Post Emergent chemical applications are used to control these weeds.
